Miss Charlotte Defty is a consultant plastic surgeon at St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust. She trained at Liverpool Medical School and then completed her plastic surgery training in Merseyside, with additional fellowships in laser surgery in Swansea and in orthoplastic reconstructive surgery in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Mohs training was completed in St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust.

Miss Defty started her NHS consultant career in October 2016 and specialises in Mohs surgery and reconstruction for skin cancer (Mohs Lead at St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust), and laser treatment (Laser Lead at St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust). Laser treatments range from hair removal, tattoo removal, vascular lesion removal, thread vein treatment, to ablation of unwanted lesions, facial resurfacing and scar treatments. She also offers Obagi peels and advice on Obagi skin care and products.

Miss Defty strives to provide the latest treatment techniques for her patients and involves them in the decision making. Their comfort, well-being, outcome and aftercare are her top priority
